My friend Marissa (whose Volvo is, hands down, the ugliest volvo I have seen in my life to date) invited Aurora and I to stay with her and another friend, Jessica, at her beach house somewhere along the coast of Rhode Island.

The important thing about vacation is that it's a change from the norm. I've spent nearly the entire summer sitting around my house doing absolutely nothing and it's refreshing to sit at someone else's house and do absolutely nothing or go to the beach and do absolutely nothing or sit down in the middle of a Newport, Rhode Island bus station rest stop and do absolutely nothing. The important part is that all of these places are not my house. I have recently discovered a wealth of places that are not my house and I have been working on spending as much time in these places as possible.
