(no subject)

I'd love to meet the guy who decided to put the "door close" button in modern elevators.
Is it even hooked up to anything half the time, or it just a dummy button to keep kids entertained, because I'm more and more starting to think the latter...
At least if it made a squeaky noise when you pushed it I'd feel like there was some POINT to keeping it around...
I push it about seventeen times and then, when the door starts to close, I get this sense of relief, like, "Well thank god I pushed it SEVENTEEN times! Sixteen might not have done the trick!"

Also, I may have ranted about this before and if I did, I'm sorry. But that popular song on the radio was playing in the mailroom...I think it's by...shit: I want to say Emilio Estevez, but I KNOW that's wrong. The guy who has a famous father? And he's kind of creepy and wears a hat? And he's in that Doritos commercial?

I don't know what the song is titled, but the chorus is "You can run, you can hide, but you can't escape my love."
And I'm sure it's not intentional, but I keep thinking, "Ok dude. She's running and hiding to try and escape your love. The word 'rape' comes to mind?"
